Tinchuley

Tinchuley is a small village in the Darjeeling hills. If someone wants to witness the Majestic Kanchenjunga from here, mid-November is the best time to visit for a clear view. At times, it is just a matter of luck as the weather in the hilly regions is very unpredictable. There is also a sunset point. There are small benches on a hilltop where you can sit and relax and enjoy the sunset. And if you are too lazy, you can just sit in the balcony of the guest house and sip a cup of tea and enjoy the panoramic view right from there.

The village itself is very beautiful. Each house has an adjoining garden with beautiful flowers and rare orchids, especially during the winters.

If you want to visit Tinchuley, take any north Bengal-bound train from anywhere in India and get down at New Jalpaiguri (NJP Railway Station). Tinchuley is around 80 kms from Siliguri.

There are a very few accommodation so it is advisable to make prior booking, especially during the peak seasons.
